Swan Song Debunked?

This is terrible.  Marilyn vos Savant, so beautiful and smart, has destroyed a favorite myth or legend or whatever it is.  She says swans don't really sing before they die.  If Marilyn says it, I believe it.  But I don't like it. It's hard to let go of things I always believed that ain't so.   That is happening a lot lately.

    I prefer to keep the romantic notion that they DO sing before dying, if only to save their life.

    I'm with you Ms. Silver.  Along with Oscar Hammerstein and Ben Oakland, "I'll Take Romance." Let them swans sing.
