Can You Forgive?

I did a stupid thing to a female friend . You could say I hugged her inappropriately. My hands traveled a bit too far South.   I apologized, she did not accept. Later, when I ran into her ex-husband, I said I hoped she would someday forgive me. His reply was a real bone chiller. "Mary never forgives."  Maybe that's why she is his ex.
